ENHANCING STUDENTS SPEAKING SKILL THROUGH ACTING PLAY SCRIPTS (APS) TECHNIQUE

During the process of learning to speak, students often encounter various challenges. Many exhibit passivity in speaking lessons and lack confidence when front class due limited vocabulary a conceptual understanding. The researcher aimed determine whether use "Acting Play Scripts" (APS) teaching could improve students' skills. research problem focused on effectiveness through APS technique for English Department PGRI University Palembang. objective was assess enhancing abilities. study specifically concentrated proficiency utilized pre-experimental method with one-group pre-test post-test design. selected single class, namely 5A fifth-semester from Department, comprising 33 students. findings revealed that average score 63.80, while 71.51. significance level set at 5%, degree freedom (df) 32. critical value t-table 1.6938, t-obtained 55.07.
